A customer in Alba, TX reached out after noticing a loud noise coming from their mini-split system while it was running. Our technician inspected the unit and diagnosed the problem: worn bearings inside the blower motor were causing a persistent whining sound.

We replaced the blower motor with a new one. Once the system was back up and running, it operated quietly — exactly how it should.

Since the unit was already open, we took the opportunity to clean out organic growth that had built up inside the system. Mold and mildew can accumulate inside mini-split units over time, especially in the warm, humid climate of East Texas. Cleaning it out helps improve both air quality and system efficiency.

The customer was very happy with the results. If your mini-split is making unusual noises or hasn't been cleaned in a while, it's worth having a technician take a look before a small issue turns into a bigger repair.
