Customer called and said the thermostat was blank and nothing was working, and unit was not cooling. When Family Air arrived, we found the thermostat had gone bad and just would not respond when touched. We replaced the thermostat and checked system operation. Upon start-up we found the unit is now cooling again.

Customer had a mini split blower motor that was making loud noise when running. We diagnosed that the bearings in the blower motor were bad causing the loud whining noise. We replaced the blower motor and upon start up the motor was very quiet. In addition, while the unit was open and taken apart, we went ahead and cleaned all the organic growth from inside the system. The customer was extremely happy with the results.

Customer said unit was not heating properly. Upon arrival Family Air found the heat pump coil sensor had come loose from the coil causing improper defrost cycles. We reattached the coil sensor and tested operations. Unit is working properly, customer is happy.

Customer stated the unit would not shut off. Upon arrival, we found the heating and a/c part of the system was working however the indoor blower motor would not shut off. After further diagnosing we determined that the X13 indoor motor had an internal board failure which was causing the motor to not shut off. In this case the blower motor needs to be replaced.
